Website build: How to read the offer
A missing line is not automatically a bad sign. Different providers work differently. An absence is a reason to ask, not a verdict.
What the offer should contain
A list of pages
By name. "Up to 10 pages" also works, as long as it says what happens with the eleventh.
Who writes the copy
Explicitly, with a page count. If it says you provide them, you know you have a second task and a second budget.
Platform and ownership
The platform name, whose name the domain is in, what you receive on termination.
What gets measured
Which actions will be tracked and who sets them up.
A timeline with milestones
Not just a final date. When you approve the design, when you see a working version.
The price after launch
Monthly maintenance and a rate for changes. Without it the annual cost is unknown.
